Dear Faith Leader
Let’s set the record straight. We’ve all felt it, a narrative inviting us to accept a false picture of what is actually happening. As people of truth, we need to recognize truth so that we can share with others.
The narrative the mainstream media recently gave was that ICE officers used a young boy to lure his undocumented parent toward arrest. Anyone that read those headlines would be outraged but the fact of the matter is that it is simply untrue. In reality, the ICE officers were caring for the young child that was alone and scared as his undocumented parent fled the scene. The ICE officers remained with him, fed him and attempted to connect him with his family but unfortunately, his family would not open the door. ICE officers ensured this precious child had care throughout until his undocumented parent was able to determine next steps to bring his son to join him. WATCH PRESS CONFERENCE ABOVE OR HERE.
These narratives are often an attempt to cause suspicion and animosity toward the very men and women putting their lives on the line as they are charged with safeguarding our country. They are the American heroes that are pushing back lawlessness and truly going after some of the worst criminals (READ MORE) residing within our neighborhoods and communities. They are deporting undocumented individuals that are in our nation illegally, those defying the laws that provide safety and order that so many have come seeking.
Prayer Point: We encourage you to discern truth and to speak out against these false narratives. As evolving situations are reported, we invite you to pray for our leaders that they are able to calm the waters.
Psalm 25:5 says, “Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”
