Dear Faith Leader

In a bold move, President Trump drew a line in the sand on behalf of persecuted believers by calling Nigeria a “Country of Particular Concern” for the mass killings of Christians.

The President explained:

When Christians, or any such group, is slaughtered like is happening in Nigeria (3,100 versus 4,476 Worldwide), something must be done! I am asking Congressman Riley Moore, together with Chairman Tom Cole and the House Appropriations Committee, to immediately look into this matter, and report back to me.” The United States cannot stand by while such atrocities are happening in Nigeria, and numerous other Countries. We stand ready, willing, and able to save our Great Christian population around the world.”

We celebrate the President standing in the gap and calling upon actions to end these horrific slaughterings of innocent lives.

Invitation to Pray: We invite you to pray for persecuted believers in Nigeria and the 13 to 15 million in Sudan that have been displaced. Pray for Nigeria and for the families of those that have been martyred across both countries.

As Isaiah 1:17 reminds us, "Learn to do right, seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow."

Government Shutdown: SNAP Partially Funded

National Spotlight on SNAP Program

42 million Americans, essentially 1 in 8 Americans use SNAP funding to buy groceries for their families. Currently, the funding is frozen given the shutdown however, we rejoice in recognizing that USDA will be able to partially fund the program. States and food banks have contributed additional funding to help close some of the gaps.

Hear Secretary Rollins share about the gross abuse that USDA has discovered related to individuals utilizing SNAP that are not citizens or that do not qualify, HERE.

Unfortunately, this abuse of the program has led to those that really need SNAP to be even more vulnerable during this government shutdown.

We continue to pray for the government to be funded and re-opened.
