🏢 Government Alert- Re-open so, what's next? - National Faith Advisory Board

Dear Faith Leader

After the longest government shutdown in history, our government has thankfully been re-opened!

Check out the Joint Statement from Speaker Mike Johnson, Congressman Steve Scalise, Congressman Tom Emmer, and Representative Lisa McClain, HERE.

We celebrate this step and acknowledge that there is more work ahead.

Three of the twelve individual appropriations bills that make up the federal government’s annual discretionary budget were passed which cover funding for our military, veterans, farmers and lawmakers and staffers. The continuing resolution that was passed is good through the end of January 2026. Nine other appropriations bills will still need to be worked on before February 2026 to ensure our government remains open!

Our country needs Americans to pray for:

our nation
our lawmakers
the negotiations of these nine bills that determine how our taxpayer dollars are spent

Galatians 6:9 encourages, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
