In Case You Missed It: White House Faith Office National Call | |
White House Faith Office National Call Highlights
The White House Faith Office hosted its national faith leaders call on Tuesday, April 21st featuring updates from senior administration officials on key issues impacting faith, family, and the nation.
-
White House Senior Advisor Pastor Paula White-Cain shared that the Faith Office recently hosted more than 300 pastors and Buddhist religious leaders at the White House, over the last few weeks. She also highlighted:
- The need to Make Religious Liberty Great Again as it is our rights given by God and enshrined in our Constitution
- Religious liberty freedoms/protections
- Pro-life policy efforts
- Expanded school choice
- Ending religious discrimination
-
Bishop Robert Barron gave an update on the Presidential Religious Liberty Commission, shared about his experience serving on the commission hearing testimonials where Americans felt compelled to act against their faith, and noted that its report with recommendations will soon be delivered to the President. He reminded us all that free exercise of religion can and should show up in the public space.
- Border Czar Tom Homan discussed the importance of how border security saves lives, addressed misconceptions regarding ICE and Border Patrol enforcement, and reaffirmed his support for religious liberty. Additional highlights include:
- Not one ICE arrest has been made inside a church, a school, or a hospital.
- Of the over half a million ICE arrests, over half have been fugitives, criminals and national security threats.
-
He also shared the rescue of more than 146,000 children, many of which have been impacted by trafficking and exploitation under the previous Administration.
-
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth spoke about restoring the military chaplaincy to its core mission of meeting the faith needs of America’s warfighters. He emphasized prayer, virtue, and the belief that our rights come from God—not government as the foundation for his department and our nation.
-
White House Deputy Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy Heidi Overton discussed current domestic policy wins, including a landmark, peer-reviewed report from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on the long-term harm of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries. She asked listeners to pray for wisdom, discernment, and God’s truth as leaders address major issues involving life, family, and human identity.
We invite you to pray for our national leaders, that God would grant them wisdom and direction as they lead our nation.
