Have you ever wanted to get a little bit more involved with the National Faith Advisory Board (NFAB)? As we ride the waves toward an end to the longest government shutdown in American history, there are some ways that you can be consistently engaged in advocating for religious liberty…being involved with NFAB is top of that list.

More churches and houses of worship are joining NFAB weekly and moving from spectator to engaged when it comes to safeguarding religious liberty across our country.

The Process of the Government Re-Opening: What You Need to Know

Government Re-opening Updates

This week, the Senate passed a government funding bill that includes three full-year appropriations for the following:

Military Construction projects
Veterans Affairs
Agriculture
the Legislative Branch

In addition, the Senate passed the continuing resolution through January 2026 for the remaining legislation to fund the government.

Background: There are twelve individual appropriations bills that make up the federal government’s annual discretionary budget. If the Senate-passed deal gets enacted, this means nine others will still need to be worked on before February to ensure the government remains open.

Next Steps: Members of the House of Representatives are traveling back to Washington, DC, on Tuesday of this week to prepare to vote regarding the opening up of the government. The vote is likely to take place on Wednesday. It will then head to President Trump’s desk for his signature.

We invite you to join us in prayer for our lawmakers to come together to swiftly re-open the government this week.

As we all gather around our tables with friends and family this Thanksgiving, we are both thankful that we are able to provide for our loved ones and also hopeful that we can serve as an extension of God’s love to those less fortunate.

On Sunday, November 23rd, Paula White Ministries and StoryLife Church are teaming up with partner organizations from around the nation to provide a Table In The Wilderness for those in need this Thanksgiving season. With your help, we will be providing families with:
